Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan is a politician from Kerala who serves for Congress. From 13 April 2012 to 1 January 2014 he was the Home Minister in Oommen Chandry Ministry, Government of Kerala. He was holding the Vigilance Portfolio, handed over from the current Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. He has handed over the charges of Home Ministry to Ramesh Chennithala from 1 January 2014 and taken the Forest, Transport, Sports, Cinema & Environment portfolios.
Thiruvanchoor entered public service as a student activist, through Balajanasakhyam, KSU and Youth Congress, rising to become the leader of various youth organizations.
He was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly for the first time in 1991 from Adoor Constituency. He also served as the General Secretary of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (I). He was minister for Water Resources during 2004-06 period. He was elected from Kottayam Constituency to the Kerala Legislative Assembly in 2011 representing Indian National Congress. He became MLA for five times and was minister in Water Resources, Forest, Health and Parliamentary affairs.
